The 2022 Music Victoria Award winners were announced at the official ceremony on December 13 at The Edge at Fed Square. Over 200 Victorian music experts, and the largest public voting pool in the award show’s history, decided the winners from a huge selection of local talent.

On the night, Uncle Kutcha Edwards paid tribute to the late Archie Roach with his touching rendition of Archie’s track, ‘Old Mission Road’. Deborah Conway AM and Bakehosue Studios' Helen Marcou AM & Ian “Quincy” McLean AM were inducted into the Music Victoria Hall of Fame, and Noongar woman Bumpy received the recipient of the Archie Roach Foundation Award for Emerging Talent.
