This week's PBS Feature Album is Feed The Fire by The Rookies. Born in the spring of 2014 on the forgotten end of Brunswick Street in a dimly lit room full of sweat and beer at The Rooks Return, The Rookies started as a quiet set of background jazz for punters while they imbibed their cocktails. This quickly devolved into an uninhibited, drunken dance party reminiscent of a time almost forgotten.

This energy has been harnessed and put to wax for The Rookies’ new album, Feed The Fire, out March 22. The first all original record from the ensemble, the music on Feed The Fire has been formed into a continuous track in seven parts - a carefully crafted journey representing a simple truth, that until we burn down the systems that do not serve us all, we cannot grow to become our best.

Tune in all this week to hear tracks from Feed The Fire, and PBS Members have the chance to win a vinyl copy of the album via this Tuesday's e-newsletter, so make sure you check your inbox! Please note that winners will need to pick up their record from the station in Collingwood.
