This week’s PBS Feature Album is Ray Beadle - Stax of Blues. On this nine-track release, Ray Beadle pays tribute to funk and blues recording artists of the famous Stax Records including Albert King, Little Milton, Johnnie Taylor, Isaac Hayes, The Canes, Bobby Marchan and Sir Mack Rice.

Recorded live at Studios 301 in Sydney in front of a live studio audience, Stax of Blues was a one take session, all made possible by the talents of an incredible band featuring Ray Beadle (guitar & vocals), Adam Pringle (guitar), Declan Kelly (drums), Rowan Lane (bass), Lachy Doley (organ & piano), Pat Powell (guest vocals), Matt Keegan - (saxophone), Angus Gomm - (trumpet) and James Greening (trombone).

Stax of Blues is out July 29 via Interface Blue - tune in to PBS all this week to hear tracks from the album. PBS Members have the chance to win a copy of the album on CD via this Tuesday's e-newsletter, so make sure you check your inbox!
