In January PBS listeners can expect to hear a few tweaks to our weekly programming roster, and we also welcome a brand new show to the airwaves.
After 26 years on-air, Peter and Gary wind up their epic Thursday night show Screaming Symphony on January 1, 2026, allowing for some movement across the grid and some fresh sounds for PBS listeners.
From January 6 our Tuesday night line-up will feature Ryan Evans’ Tyrannocoreus from 10pm to 12am, followed by Robyn Challands’ hardcore show No Barriers every week at midnight.
Thursdays continue to be a celebration of all things heavy with Kene Lightfoot’s Burning Bitumen shuffling across from Tuesdays to settle in at 10pm every week between Sunglasses After Dark and Through the Collapse.
We’re also delighted to welcome a brand new show, and a new announcer to the regular PBS program roster. Kicking off in the wee small hours of Friday January 9 will be Olive’s program Moondial, a celebration of RnB, sultry soul and sophisticated hip hop, trip hop and new jack swing. Moondial airs every alternate Friday morning between 2am and 6am and will be the perfect way for early risers to kick start their Fridays.
Keep your eyes on the PBS website for more details of any programming changes and of course leave your ears firmly tuned in to PBS on the radio, online, on our apps or on your favourite smart speaker.
