Spearheaded by Sierra-Leonean/Australian MC N'fa Jones and South African/Australian producer Sensible J, Cool Out Sun is a unique cross-cultural group who create music bridging the traditions of classic hip hop with the traditions of Afrobeat, Afro-soul and roots music.

The duo blend West African language and culture with modern sonics that jump out of the speakers. Beats are built on the MPC and refined with live instrumentation and vocals, recorded in their lofi indie label's House of Beige studio. The group's explosive live show has them performing consistently, and their music has been getting a lot of Australian airplay as well as spins across the US, EU and the UK radio. Cool Out Sun songs go deep into social subjects and storytelling with historical and cultural messaging hidden in catchy hooks and heavy grooves.

What is Rock-A-Bye-Baby? It's a no-frills daytime concert designed for both adults and kids alike and is PBS' way of connecting the youngest music lovers to the bands and artists that make up our city's diverse and ever-expanding music community. We welcome noise, encourage crawling, and expect dancing!
