Northside and Steady Records are proud to present the latest instalment from Naarm based, Fitzroy flavoured disco outfit Steady Weather, with the single ‘Best One’ taken from the forthcoming EP Golden Child. Since their 2022 debut release, championed by the likes of CC’Disco, Frank Booker, PBS and Triple J, Steady Weather have been bubbling away, refining their sound in the studio and in the club.

Steady Weather is a fresh take on the disco sound fusing contemporary club sounds in a live setting with jazz sensibility, capturing the unique essence of the Melbourne/Naarm club scene alongside the likes of Close Counters, Harvey Sutherland, Zeitgeist Freedom Energy Exchange and Mildlife to name a few.

Led by jazz viola player Tamil Rogeon, alongside long time collaborators Ben Grayson, Rita Satch and Graeme Pogson, Steady Weather has been making waves on Naarm dance floors with a series of live shows in the lead up to this release.

‘Best One’ encapsulates the Steady Weather sound with its wonky basslines, filtered disco grooves and euphoric vocals delivered by the incredible Rita Satch. This release also includes the digital only ‘Deep Space Dub’ mix supplied by The Possé, for extra dance floor pressure for the late night moments.
