Acclaimed new talent Georgia Knight's independent release Beanpole was a highly regarded work that led to praise from the likes of Sharon Van Etten, Arab Strap and BBC Radio 6 Music. In support of her debut album, Georgia was booked to perform a string of highly coveted shows like The Great Escape Festival (UK), Golden Plains (AU), Phoenix Central Park (AU), The Others Way (NZ), Port Noise (NZ) and more. Elsewhere, her 2023 EP Hell on Bent Street saw a swift rise in profile, and led to Georgia performing standout shows at tastemaker festivals Dark Mofo, Camp A Low Hum (NZ) and RISING, and playing alongside acts like Blonde Redhead (USA) and Mogwai (SCT).

It's her autoharp you'll notice first, Georgia Knight's favoured instrument that haunts her music, giving her a ghostly, ethereal presence. During live shows, she strums that autoharp, clutches it, hugs it and thumps it, drawing out notes that she sings, coos and whispers over. Her live band add layers, textures, a cinematic sweep, a Lynch-ian sheen to her songs. But then you'll notice her intensity, her sincerity, how composed she is, how she draws you in with her gothic vocals, her personalised lyrics and her mesmerising stories. Sometimes, she'll sing down a broken telephone, delivering lines about loss and love and devastation and desire, channelling ghosts from the past.
