Juice Webster returns with her sophomore album, Kind of Fantasy, the much awaited follow up to her critically acclaimed album from 2023, JULIA. Releasing October 30 via COHORT, Kind of Fantasy is a direct and darker sound for Webster and will see her take to stages across the country with a national tour announced.
Kind of Fantasy is comprised of nine songs encompassing everything from expansive, direct indie sounds, to sweeping ballad alt-rock, to subtler, more introspective tracks about the full array of human fallibility and human potential. As her songwriting continues to evolve, so too does the world surrounding it. The release introduces a richer visual identity that reflects the album's emotional depth, building a creative landscape where music, imagery and storytelling exist in conversation with one another. It's an approach that positions Juice Webster not just as a songwriter, but as one of Australia's most exciting emerging creative voices.
Ahead of the release of Kind of Fantasy, Juice Webster and her band stop by PBS for an intimate Studio 5 Live performance. Tune in to Underground Love on Tuesday September 8 from 3pm to hear this special set and interview with host Jordan Oakley.
Studio 5 Live is made possible by Carlton Audio Visual and is supported by the Australian Government through Music Australia and Creative Australia, its arts funding and advisory body.
