CANCERPALOOZA is a collaboration between some of Melbourne's finest musicians, Lygon Street burger-bar-venue The B.East and a collection of the city's artistic community who have been personally touched or affected by cancer.

All proceeds from the door, art and meat raffles, food specials and artist fees will be donated to The Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, Australia's only public hospital dedicated to cancer treatment, research and education.

The lineup is headed by Melbourne HipHop heavies N'fa, Lotek, three-time DMC champion DJ Kuya and Dan Beck. They're joined by Aussie electro-rock'n'roll heroes DC3 and ex-Machine Gun Fellatio lead-man Pinky Beecroft with his new band Pinky Beecroft And The Wrecktangle. Also playing are local dub legends The Vibraphonic Orchestra, Afrobeat aficionado Lamine Sonko and many more.

The Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre is a major centre for cancer treatment, professional oncologist training, and oncology research in Australia.
It is one of the few cancer treatment facilities in the world that has a fully integrated clinical and laboratory program situated alongside a hospital. This facilitates the translation of research findings into clinical outcomes within the single site.
Research programs at the Centre include the Australian Cancer Research Foundation (ACRF) Cancer Cell Biology Program and the ACRF Victorian Centre for Functional Genomics in Cancer.
