Do you play blues, country, electronic, experimental, folk, funk, global, heavy,
hip hop, indigenous, jazz, reggae or soul?

Have you released new works from 1 October 2014 to 30 September 2015?

If so, you are eligible to nominate for this year’s The Age Music Victoria Genre Awards

To be considered, applicants need to be Victoria based and living in Victoria for the last two years. Self-nominate online here.

This year's awards are co-presented by PBS 106.7FM and Triple R. Winners will be chosen by a panel of experts in each genre and nominees will be announced mid-October.

Save The Date

This is the 10th year for the publicly voted Age Music Victoria Awards. For the first time, the winners for both the genre and the public awards will be presented together at 170 Russell on Wednesday 11 November 2015. Pop and rock acts are not part of the genre awards; they will be considered as part of the public awards by an independent panel. The best of the genre acts will also be considered for the public awards, which include Best Album and Best Song.

More information about public voting and the awards night gig will be announced in coming weeks.

‘’We are thrilled to be combining the Public and Genre Awards into one epic night to celebrate the awards' tenth anniversary, with Victoria's two best music stations, Triple R and PBS 106.7FM, joining forces for a rare co-presents. While our genre awards judges are across the year’s music in their fields, we want to make sure that all releases are considered so we're encouraging acts to self-register on the Music Victoria website."

- Patrick Donovan, CEO of Music Victoria

"It's great to team up with Triple R this year to support the Age Music Victoria Awards. We have a lot to celebrate in Melbourne, great music and great community radio."

- Adrian Basso, PBS106.7FM Station Manager
