Sat 19 Feb 2011 to Sat 2 Apr 2011

Melbourne musicians will come together for a weekly celebration of music from around the globe in the Mix It Up! Saturday Sessions, in the Famous Spiegeltent in February and March. From 1930’s style Greek Blues to avant-garde Ethiopian Jazz, and progressive Indian Electronica to Middle Eastern Surf Rock, the Mix it up! Saturday Sessions will dish up a fantastic selection of local talent and international music styles.

Other acts in the Saturday Sessions line-up include Japanese blues artists, a Turkish funk reggae band, the divine harmonies of a Congolese gospel choir and a percussion jam group, the Eastern Beat Project, which combines percussion styles from Afghanistan, Armenia, India, West Papua and Japan to create a spectacular beats experience.
