Melbourne International Jazz Festival returns this October 17–26 with its biggest lineup ever – 150+ performances, 40 venues and 500+ artists. Experience international legends Harry Connick Jr., Hiromi, Ibrahim Maalouf, Samara Joy, Gary Bartz, Gregory Porter and more, alongside extraordinary Australian talent.
Festival Highlights:
Jazz at the Bowl (Sat Oct 25, Sidney Myer Music Bowl): Harry Connick Jr. with his stellar band, plus Bill Frisell and Emma Donovan.
Night Crawl (Fri Oct 17): One night, 11 venues, 100+ musicians – free shows across the CBD, with Tenderlonious, Surprise Chef and Natasha Diggs.
Ibrahim Maalouf (FRA/LBN): Trumpet virtuoso with 10-piece band The Trumpets of Michel-Ange.
Jazz re:freshed (UK): Amy Gadiaga (pictured), DoomCannon + DJs pushing UK’s bold new jazz sound.
Sunny Kim / Joanna Duda / Helen Svoboda: World-premiere collaboration spanning Korea, Poland and Australia.
Plus: The Tamil Rogeon Orchestra, Banksia Trio, Adam Manning, Rita Marcotulli, Earshift showcases and more.
