On Tuesday 17th February, Gumbo Kitchen, Abita Brewery and West Winds Gin bring the tastes and sounds of New Orleans to Melbourne with its fourth annual Fat Tuesday Mardi Gras event.
A smorgasbord of Southern food will be on offer with Po’ Boy Quarter, Girl with the Gris Gris & Bluebonnet BBQ providing delicious Louisiana Gumbo, Po’ Boys & Texas BBQ.

Abita Brewery will be providing New Orleans craft beer while West Winds Gin is on hand to provide craft gin cocktails.

Follow the traditional New Orleans second line brass band through the streets, then sit back & enjoy some of Melbourne’s best soul food with a backdrop of New Orleans jazz and funk.
Adam Rudegeair’s Bayou Tapestry, Horns of Leroy, Joules Boult & The Johnny Can’t Dance Cajun trio will play classic New Orleans sets transporting you into the heart of a New Orleans Mardi Gras.

A free and family friendly event, the Fat Tuesday Mardi Gras event is held at Hardy Reserve, McPherson St, Carlton North from 5:00pm to 10:00pm.
