Marking Amaru Tribe’s 10-year anniversary, their third full-length album Golden Roots opens a new chapter for the band. Following years of touring festivals across Australia and around the world, the album weaves together Amaru Tribe’s signature blend of electronica, cumbia, global bass and ancestral rhythms.
Throughout Golden Roots, Amaru Tribe captures the collective energy of their live shows while exploring
more intimate, downtempo soundscapes. The result is a vibrant journey through movement, memory and connection; music that celebrates cultural exchange and reminds us that connection is gold. Golden Roots invites listeners to dance, reflect, remember and be free.
Created between tours, travels and studio sessions across Bogotá, Bali, Abu Dhabi and Australia, Golden Roots reflects the band’s global influences while staying rooted in Latin American rhythm, culture and storytelling. The album also features recordings made in Colombia with local artists Leang AKA Gaita Loop and Abelardo Lesmora.
Ahead of celebrating the release with a special takeover of The Night Cat on Saturday August 29, Amaru Tribe stop by PBS for a very special Studio 5 Live. Tune in to the Global Village on Sunday August 23 from 5pm for this exclusive performance and interview with host Roger Holdsworth.
