Back in June, PBS picked future-soul artist Emma Volard’s debut album Deity as a PBS Feature Album. And for good reason. Deity is an expression of self-love, desire and hope that’s entrenched in lavish harmonies, broken beats and gut-wrenching lyricism. It is no surprise that her music has garnered attention from notable tastemakers, locally and internationally.
