Wed 3 Aug 2011 to Sat 13 Aug 2011

In a world of absent mothers and missing fathers, Mrs Petchall battles to keep another year of students out of the ranks of the vanished. The Outsiders is on the syllabus again, but instead of Socs and Greasers, this is the world of Speds and Skanks - fuelled by Red Bull and powered by iPods. It can be hard to find your own rhythm when everyone is marching to the beat of a different drum.

The winner of the 2009 Griffin Award and recently nominated for a Helpmann Award for Best New Australian Work, Silent Disco exists between the violence of poetry and the music of a fight. The play blew the judges away with its incendiary language and defiant theatricality. Joining Lachlan Philpott on the dance floor will be acclaimed director Lee Lewis.
