Wrong Way Up Studio 5 Live

Studio 5 Live

Born out of a deep love for the dance floor, Wrong Way Up is the Melbourne-based Afro-synth duo of vocalists/songwriters Emmanuela Degery and ADP. Together they channel vintage Afro disco and psychedelic boogie to bring a new kind of heat.

Paying homage to Frances Bebey, William Onyeabor and Lijadu Sisters, Wrong Way Up delivers energetic melodies, deep grooves and addictive chants. Featuring quirky synthesizers and 1970s drum machines, their new EP Full Blast on Soundway Records is a sonic landscape that feels fresh and unique.

Make sure to tune in to Headhunters with Elle Young on Monday September 2 from 5pm to hear an exclusive Studio 5 Live performance from Wrong Way Up.

PBS thanks the Helen Macpherson Smith Trust for funding assistance to build and fit out Studio 5.
