After an epic 15 years on the PBS roster, Mitch Booth has decided that the time has come to hang up the headphones and wind up his long-running program Through the Collapse. Mitch’s contribution to PBS has been massive, as has his commitment to supporting and promoting the very heaviest of metal. In addition to his weekly PBS show, Mitch also ran the Metal Obsession website for many years and has been an integral part of the local scene.
With greater work commitments and a young family to wrangle, Mitch has made the difficult decision that it’s time to take a break and to focus more on other aspects of his busy life. Punters can also now expect to see Mitch at a few more Thursday night gigs in and around town. PBS can’t thank Mitch enough for everything he’s given and he’ll always be a popular member of the PBS family.
Tune in from midnight to 2am this Friday morning as Mitch slams the airwaves for one last time, sharing his favourite tracks and artists, and bidding listeners a very fond farewell.
