Naarm/Melbourne’s legendary soul party Soul-A-Go-Go is back for a one-off night of dancing and rare grooves at the Brunswick Ballroom on Saturday April 11, from 9pm ‘til 3am. Join us as we bring the dancefloor to life with classic soul, deep cuts, rare grooves and irresistible rhythms, delivered by an all-star lineup of PBS DJs.
Since 2007, Soul-A-Go-Go has set the standard for feel-good dancefloor action, spinning the finest soul and funk 45s and keeping bodies moving into the early hours. This edition brings together some of PBS’s sharpest selectors and event founders. Returning behind the Soul-A-Go-Go wheel of steels is DJ Manchild (The Breakdown), groove queen Miss Goldie (Boss Action), mid-century music afficionado Mohair Slim (Blue Juice Radio Show), and vintage style goddess Emma Peel (Switched On).
Joining them is special guest Stuckey of Surprise Chef and College of Knowledge Records, musician and devoted vinyl digger as well as member of the PBS presenter family.Whether you’re a soul purist, rare vinyl collector or just looking to move, this is the night to let loose and get down. It’s a one-off you don’t want to miss, so get your dancing shoes ready!
