Ju’suan Studio 5 Live

Studio 5 Live
Mon 16 Nov 2026
Funk Soul

PBS welcomes beat junkies Ju’suan in to Studio 5 for a live set on Deeep Space, 9am Monday November 16.

Ju’suan re-emerged with their sophomore album, 'common understanding', out via Bathtub Music in September 2026.

Lead by Joe Swann, the band give him the tools to unlock hidden beats and movements, lending their expertise in each instrument to help him chop, sample, and mash the sounds into each track. The band features local Naarm talent ALGBRA, Marley Del Prete, Nocto Nocto, Gen Kuner, Tyla Moonchild, Dermot and Louis Monaghan.

The sound swirls in dubbed out horns, boom bap drums, lush jazz leaning melodic keys, chopped vocal hooks and bass heavy grooves. Hear it live from PBS Studio 5 on Deeep Space, 9am Monday November 16 alongside an interview with Lloyd Briggs.

Studio 5 Live is made possible by Carlton Audio Visual and is supported by the Australian Government through Music Australia and Creative Australia, its arts funding and advisory body.
