Multicultural Arts Victoria presents Sonidos Del Norte (Sounds of the North), a concert with a Latin heart and a global twist, on 1 June 2019 at Darebin Arts Centre.

This one-off concert of unique cross-cultural and artistic collaborations celebrates the stories of the migrant music that lives in the northern suburbs and the constant flux which defines and redefines our local and global identities.

The Tabla plays Tango and the Kape plays Cumbia - some of the sounds created by an eclectic group of world class artists from Australia, Argentina, Indonesia, Colombia, India, Italy, Chile and Uruguay.

Featuring collaborations by members from Amaru Tribe (pic), Iaki Vallejo, Oscar Jiminez, Përolas, Faro Negro, and Indolombia.

Visual art by Katherin Gailer, light and visual design by multidisciplinary artist, Cy Gorman and special guest collaboration with actor and poet Jaime Wilson.

ReMastered Myths brings together artists from Melbourne’s diverse communities to spark inter-cultural, unusual, national collaborations and eclectic new musical genres representative of our unique multicultural society.
