Sun 2 Jun 2013

On Sunday June 2, Melbourne funksters The Putbacks will take a trip back in time to 1960’s Sudan, to revive a very unique, Sudanese vintage soul with singer Madup Chol.

ReMastered Myths is a creative development program aimed at bringing together artists from different musical and cultural backgrounds to explore new sounds, instrumentation & rhythms. Collaborating artists work together over 5 development sessions to come up with new material or adapt existing works to incorporate these new & diverse musical styles.

DJ Cassawarrior, will kick thing off, spinning some rare shekla (vinyl) straight out of the dusty crates of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. For more details about this event visit http://www.multiculturalarts.com.au/events2013/emerge_remastered.shtml
