Mark your calendars! Port Fairy Folk Festival is set to make its much-anticipated return to the charming coastal town of Port Fairy, Victoria, from March 6 to 10, 2026. For nearly five decades, this beloved not-for-profit celebration of folk and roots music has grown into a cultural institution, offering more than just an unforgettable weekend of live music.
Beyond the stages, festivalgoers can enjoy free performances, art exhibitions, a lively community market, hands-on workshops, and a variety of family-friendly experiences. All proceeds support vital local organisations including Moyne Health Service, Belfast Aquatic Centre, Port Fairy Surf Lifesaving Club, The Men’s Shed, and more – keeping the community spirit at the festival’s heart.
As we await the 2026 artist announcement, we’re still reliving the magic of past years. In 2025, the festival welcomed a diverse lineup featuring acclaimed U.S. acts like Bonny Light Horseman, The Brother Brothers, Hannah Aldridge, Jon Muq, Kristin Hersh, Ruthie Foster, and Todd Rundgren. From across the UK and Ireland, memorable sets came from Bess Atwell, Dean Owens & The Sinners, John Smith, Katie Spencer, and others.
