The 2012 Port Fairy Folk Festival is gearing up to be one of the biggest and PBS is excited to be presenting the festival again this year!

Twenty-three international acts will come from all over including Finland, Sweden, Canada, UK, USA and French-Algeria to join a fantastic feast of the best in Australian roots music. ADAM COHEN is now confirmed to play Port Fairy on his first Australian tour; JOHN BUTLER will be doing his rare fabulous solo shows; CHRIS HILLMAN of The Byrds and The Flying Burrito Brothers and who is credited as a founder of the Country Rock genre; the amazing KRYSTLE WARREN returns after sensational appearances on her recent brief visit; Port Fairy favourites, THE BATTLEFIELD BAND return with the sounds of Scotland.

Every year the festival presents a unique line-up of International and National artists over the four day long week-end. Covering folk, roots, blues, jazz, bluegrass, celtic roots, jazz, crossroads country and rock, and music of the world. Add the Children's Folk Circus a Free Festival of the Streets, markets, buskers and a beautiful setting of history, sun and sea. This is shaping to be another Port Fairy not to miss!

Port Fairy Folk Festival 2012

When: March 9 - 12 March 2012
Where: The festival site is the village of Port Fairy, four hours drive west of Melbourne along the Princes Highway. The Great Ocean Road trip takes twice as long! The main site in the village is The Festival Arena with all the big venues.
