PBS is excited to announce that a brand new program will be joining our on-air roster this month.
Every alternate Thursday morning between 2am and 6am, tune in for Game Jams, exploring the diversity of music heard in video game soundtracks, with a focus on independent and locally-made titles whose creators are pushing the boundaries of interactive music far from the AAA spotlight. Hosted by Matt Schenkel (pictured), tune into Game Jams to be taken on a sonic side-quest to the outer edges of video game music.
Game Jams has previously hit the PBS airwaves through month-long residencies late on Friday nights, and through January in the Test Pressing slot every Tuesday. PBS is thrilled that Matt will now have the chance to further explore this eclectic area of music and sound every alternate Thursday morning, beginning February 19.
Tune in or listen back here.
