This Saturday from 12-6pm at the Footscray Community Arts Centre is the third annual Contemporary Pacific Arts Festival. The free CPAF Community Day features live arts demonstrations, a market place and a free concert as part of the event.

Also this Saturday from 11am to 10pm see the Melbourne Didgeridoo and Cultural Festival come to Wombat Bend in Templestowe. The free event showcases the playing and history of the didgeridoo, handcrafts, workshops, concerts, performing musicians and art.

Head down to the Trocadero artspace located on Hopkins Street in Footscray this Saturday for the opening night of Turn Up Your Radio. The night showcases artworks by some of Australia’s most influential musicians including Mick turner from The Dirty Three, Dean Muller from Cosmic Psychos & Steph Hughes of Dick Diver. Opening night runs from 4-6pm but the gallery will be open until the 25th of April.

Kicking off this Thursday the 9th of April is a photographic arts project by Moreland City Councils Community Grants project. The project allows anyone to be involved by uploading their own images of Moreland which are then projected onto the Town Hall Kebabs building – just opposite Town Hall. The event will be running until Saturday the 11th.

Dont forget this Saturday is the best of Soul and Northern Soul. Located at Bella Union Trades Hall the night features our very own DJ Vince Peach, DJ Jack Sparrow, DJ Joel Hamlin and DJ Juck Roche. The night runs from 9pm to 3am and tickets are just $15.
