Thu 30 Apr 2015 to Wed 6 May 2015

This weekend the Bundoora Homestead Arts Centre is putting on a free fete on Saturday the 2nd from 11am to 5pm. It’s a family friendly day with activities for all ages including live music, artists, puppets and performers taking over the gardens and galleries. You can even have a hit of croquet or jump on a horse and cart ride to show you round the garden. There’ll be food trucks and wine available on the day too. If you want to know more about the event head to
www.bundoorahomestead.com/what’s-on .

Kicking off this Saturday at 10am is the Capture Yarra Youth Photo Exhibition. It’s at the Yarra Library in Fitzroy and will showcase a bunch of young photographers’ knack for capturing the heart and soul of the Yarra they know. The free event will be running until the 17th and bookings aren’t essential but you can reserve a spot if you head to eventbrite.com.au and type in capture Yarra youth photo exhibition reservation!

It’s back! NGV International is playing host to another year of the Melbourne Art Book Fair. The event starts this Friday with a preview evening and finishes up on Sunday with multiple exhibitions and talks on offer over each day. The fair brings together emerging and established publishers, artists, writers and designers. The icing on the cake is that the fair will also feature a program of free talks, forums and performances, as well as spaces to enjoy food and drinks and music, set within a uniquely designed experience by Melbourne Architecture firm Fold Theory. Saturday and Sunday will be open from 10am to 5pm and is free and open to all! www.Ngv.vic.gov.au has all the details.
