The Collingwood Children’s Farm is turning 40 years old and they’re throwing a beast of a party to celebrate! On Sunday 3 November, the farm’s seven acres of paddocks, gardens, orchards and rustic buildings will play home to ‘Party Animals’, a full day celebration featuring some of Melbourne’s best bands and activities for all ages including storytelling, workshops and producers’ table talks, market stalls from Melbourne Farmers Markets, and even a BBQ from Meatsmith!

Featuring
Cosmic Psychos, Emma Donovan & the Putbacks, Jess Ribeiro, Saint Jude, The Burnt Sausages, The Orbweavers, The Ookerpookers (featuring Liam Gerner), Cold Gold, Amadou Jaly Suso and the Farm Hand Bush Band, with more to be announced. MC for the day is the beard to be revered, Costa from ABC’s Gardening Australia.

PLUS family friendly storytelling, table talks with producers, workshops on fermentation, bee keeping, food and sustainability, and of course there’ll be animal pats all day long.

Andrew McConnell’s (Cutler & Co, Cumulus Inc, Supernormal) gourmet butcher Meatsmith will be running a BBQ on the day. Bring your own rug and picnic basket and fill it with fresh food and charcuterie from the market stalls on offer thanks to Melbourne Farmers’ Market. In the Main Stage area you’ll also find your favourite festival foods with giant paella, chilli mussels, pizza, gozleme, burgers and more.

Booze will be supplied by a local brewery and wine from boutique local wineries.

Collingwood Children’s Farm exists to support people in the Victorian community who are experiencing disadvantage, supporting social inclusion by delivering a range of programs from a rustic community working Farm. As a non-profit organisation, ticket purchases will go directly to supporting the farm’s activities.

Limited parking is available at the Abbotsford Convent. Attendees are encouraged to go green and leave the car at home. The Collingwood Children’s Farm is a ten-minute walk from public transport at Victoria Park Station, and accessible by bike via the Capital City cycling and walking path.

Get the gang together and come down to help them celebrate!
