Over 17 days and 14 venues the 5th edition of Mapping Melbourne creates new perspectives, new possibilities and new expressions through a series of intercultural, multi-artform events in the heart of Melbourne.

Exhibiting and performing at some of our most iconic institutions and public spaces the festival profiles established and emerging artists form across Australia, China, Japan, India, Korea, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam and Sri Lanka. The series celebrates our unique Asian Australian identity and highlights positive global creative connections.

This series of free and ticketed multi-artform events runs from Friday 1 to Sunday 17 December.

Launching at the MPavilion on Thursday 30 November, 6.00-9.00pm with live performances, installations and interactions which will provide the audience a sneak peek into this year’s exciting program. The festival encompasses visual art, live art, music, dance, public programs and new multidisciplinary collaborations.

Mapping Melbourne is a platform for strengthening arts networks between contemporary independent artists across the Australasian region, building connections, seeding new work and establishing collaborative ongoing relationships, and presenting challenging work.
