Gorsha are a three-piece rock band originally hailing from Darwin, Northern Territory. They migrated down to Melbourne separately over the course of 2010-2011. Shortly after moving to Melbourne they formed the band. They play mangrove guitar music, scungy and loud. Although the musical influence present in their music is broad, the primary inspiration is drawn from the Territory artists and musicians the band grew up listening to. Most of the songs are about things in the Northern Territory too. Having suffered through a few winters, the band has played around Melbourne extensively. They have recently returned from the drive up to Darwin to play a series of shows and are preparing to put out their first official release early next year.
