We are excited to bring back the  Studio 5 Live session from Ghost-Note, the inimitable US jazz funk ensemble who paid us a visit in 2019 and lit up the studio ahead of their colourful, euphoric performance at the Melbourne International Jazz Festival.

Founded by Snarky Puppy’s percussionists Robert “Sput” Searight and Nate Werth, centred around the exceptional bass work of Dwayne “MonoNeon” Thomas Jr., and featuring an expansive roster of outstanding musicians, Ghost-Note is a band from the future, playing forward-thinking jazz motifs that are layered up on some gripping grooves.

Ghost-Note for Studio 5 Live

A favourite amongst many PBS announcers, Ghost-Note finds one of its biggest fans in Adam Rudegeair who delighted to revisit the band’s Studio 5 Live session in its entirety on Black Wax on Monday June 14. Pop that date in your diary and keep it locked to PBS.

Studio 5 Rewind is proudly brought to you by Mountain Goat.
