PBS' next guests for Studio 5 Live are local five piece Floodlights, whose dynamic live performance is raw and intimate, intertwined with powerful outbursts and marching rhythms. Since the beginning of their short career, Floodlights have explored themes of personal turbulence, national identity and the Australian landscape as a form of escapism. Their latest album Painting of My Time signals the next step for the band, building upon these themes while showcasing their sonic progression which translates to a captivating live show.
Floodlights have big fans in both Jordan Oakley (Underground Love) and Claire Stuchbery (Firewater), so how better to present the live session than across both shows on Tuesday May 30, commencing towards the end of Underground Love and feeding in to the beginning of Firewater.
Tune in to PBS from 4:45pm on May 30 to hear Floodlights exclusively on Underground Love with Jordan and Firewater with Claire!
Studio 5 Live is proudly brought to you by our mates at Mountain Goat.
