The weekend program is jam-packed with talented facilitators creating a supportive environment that is accessible to people of ALL levels of dance ability. The festival offers a unique opportunity to experience a variety of dance in a picturesque forest setting just one hour out of Melbourne.

Dancing Ground Director, River Jade Satya says: "There is a focus on community and well-being. It’s drug and alcohol free, fully catered and family friendly". The not-for-profit event offers three delicious and mostly organic vegetarian meals a day, plus chai and snacks. There is a dedicated kids space and children’s workshops as well as evening entertainment for all that includes DJs, bands, a cabaret show and a movie night.

Participants can expect to see a diverse range of dance styles in the mix including: Swing, Hip Hop, West African, Contemporary, Salsa, 5Rhythms (to name just a few) as well as complimentary workshops such as Yoga, Hula-Hooping, and African drumming.

Dancing Ground Festival runs from February 21st – 24th in the Gembrook rainforest, in Victoria’s Dandenong Ranges. This is a not-for-profit event run by a committed team of organisers motivated by a mutual passion for dance and community.
