Fri 17 May 2013 to Sun 19 May 2013

In June 2011 the Brunswick warehouse collective Anytime Place packed up everything and moved out of Ovens Street.

Now it’s time for an Anytime Place style festival - Camp ELSEWHERE!

Camp Elsewhere is two fabulous parties back to back, with sleepovers in between.
On May 17-19 we’re taking our two favourite Brunswick baristas and our most infamous partygoers to an ex-communist youth camp in Yarra Junction (75mins out of town)…as well as

THESE fine folks:
Delaney Davidson(NZ), Al Duvall (NYC), Mojo Juju, Puta Madre Brothers,
Tape Wolf (NZ), Merry Creek Pickers, Mighty Duke & the Lords, Cherrywood,
Jess Ribiero & the Bone Collectors, Judge Pino & the Ruling Motions,
Richie 1250 & the Brides of Christ, Coral Lee & the Silver Scream,
The TEN in ONE, BJ Morrizonkle, Captain Apples, Gasoline Stew & the Dump,
Sugar Fed Leopards, Skyscraper Stan & the Commission Flats, Gator Queen,
The Black Diamonds, Eaten By Dogs, Tijuana Peanut, Mightiest of Guns,
Wikimen, Big Small, Bebop n Lula, HP Reid, One Trick Pony
Dj Emma Peel (PBS), Dj Frankie Alibi and Dj Shitshake

Camp Elsewhere is located 75mins out of Melbourne. The site was hand built for large crowds by the communist youth league in the 40's. They made a handsome place with lots of facilities – including an open plan shed that can keep up to 1000 people warm and dancing. Not to mention fireplaces, hot showers and a river sparkling with fool’s gold! This stream will double as an intimate outdoor stage for solo performers, who’ll entertain the crowd from the far side of its quiet banks. The campgrounds are soft and flat. And of course there will be a mirrored dressing room to check your outfit and powder your nose in!

You can pre-purchase all your meals for the weekend with your ticket and get free desserts at the Camp Canteen. Those inclined to survive on a liquid diet will have double the choice. The Camp Cocktail and Coffee Bar with its own fireplace will be your sophisticated (and undoubtedly debauched) refueling station. There will also be the stage bar with a grand selection of local wines and craft beers on tap AT PUB PRICES in reusable vessels. We’re not the kind of folk that invite you to party then trap you and shake you down with exorbitant booze prices in throwaway cups.
