by Rusty Pinto

Way Out Here is the new long player from Press Tone recording star Rusty Pinto. The record finds Rusty and his group firing on all cylinders with Rusty’s signature voice accompanied nicely by firey lead guitar courtesy of one Pat Cappochi. The rest of the band are no strangers either with champions of Australian rockabilly Matt Hanson on the drums and Damien Lawson slapping the double bass.

Made up of 14 tracks in all and featuring ten Pinto penned originals the record has some real highlights. Of the originals, the stand out's are Seven Demons, Cant Let Loose and Sweet Dreams. However, the clincher for me is the title track Way Out Here, a haunting ballad that really showcases Rusty’s vocals and song writing talent - throw in some real nice slap bass and nifty guitar work and you can’t miss! The record isn't all rockabilly with Pinto and co easily slipping into blues and r&b territory, including a nice cover of the Little Walter tune Tell Me Mama. The album also features a great version of the Tex Williams classic I lost My Gal From Memphis.

Way out here is definitely Rusty Pintos best work to date and should see him break out from the rocking' scene and find a much broader audience with lovers of blues and roots music.
