Contemporary international arts and music festival FOJAM, is thrilled to announce the arrival of an exciting new concert conceived by The Museum of Inherited Memories, Uprising: Songs of Resistance, that will take place on Thursday 8 April at St Kilda’s Memo Music Hall in Melbourne and available to stream online globally.

The online live stream, with a six camera shoot, by Renegade Productions, the team behind Rockwiz, is FOJAM's first full production live stream.  Tickets are on sale now at $18 single, $30 group.

Uprising: Songs of Resistance starts at the close of Yom Hashoah (Holocaust Remembrance and Heroism Day) and invites people from all ethnic and cultural backgrounds to celebrate resistance to racism through song and story.

Artists gather to remember the Holocaust and celebrate ongoing survival and activism against racism, fascism and antisemitism.

After taking their events online in 2020, the tiny cultural festival tripled its audiences through a series of dynamic online events. This year, FOJAM is back, and this time, they are bringing you online events with a live component whenever possible through a series of events that all fall under the 2021 theme of Revolution!

The festival is honoured to be presenting its first event of the year with Uprising: Songs of Resistance conceived by The Museum of Inherited Memories and curated by Siân Darling. The descendant of Holocaust survivors, Darling sees storytelling and song as a mighty tool for activism.
