Celebrate New Year’s Eve at Soul-A-Go-Go!
Boogie your way into 2020 with an all-star line-up of PBS DJs including Vince Peach, Miss Goldie, Pierre Baroni, Richie 1250 and Sugar D playing all of the best soul and funk tunes to get your feet movin’!
Joining us on the line-up is deep funk, raw soul, organ jazz trio, Cookin’ On 3 Burners. Drenched in the bluesy soulful influence of the late 60s / early 70s, these Melbourne music stalwarts will be serving up a feast of tasty funk that will feel like you’re poking your head through a time portal!
We are very excited to announce that special guests Thando and Raleigh Williams will be adding a veritable vocal powerhouse to the Cookin On 3 Burners Soul A Go Go New Year's Eve line-up.
Zimbabwean born and Melbourne based singer-songwriter, Thando, has been gracing stages around Australia with her electric presence. With her 2018 breakthrough single ‘Numb’ featuring REMI, Thando has since gone onto open for Allen Stone, Leon Bridges and R&B master Maxwell. Featured on Sampa the Great’s debut album ‘The Return’, her collaborative projects will continue well into 2020 with the pending release of her new EP ‘Life in Colour’.
Joining Thando on vocals is Raleigh Williams who draws on years of experience performing both in Australia and internationally to deliver a reputation as one of Melbourne’s best session singers, featuring in genres as diverse as world music, urban, country, jazz, pop and soul. Showcasing a magnificent voice, that draws on a background of singing and composing in a diverse range of styles, Raleigh Williams is fast becoming one of Melbourne’s most respected vocalists.
