Melbourne City Mission is Melbourne’s first charity. Established in 1854, we’ve been around for almost as long as Melbourne itself.

We’re large and diverse with over 800 staff, 36 sites, over 80 programs and 400 volunteers supporting our work, we are able to support over 5,000 people every week.

We work with some of Melbourne and Victoria’s most vulnerable individuals, families and communities, helping them escape and avoid disadvantage, economic exclusion and social isolation. Melbourne City Mission works across a number of services, including Homelessness Services.
We’re very proud that we can say “We change lives: everyday!”.

On 18 April the iconic MCG will be hosting an event to help end homelessness in Melbourne. 1500 people will be sleeping at the G that night to show their support for disadvantaged members of our community.

At the same time two of Melbourne’s most exciting bands will be entertaining the crowds. Join The Hillbilly Killers featuring Tim Rogers and Money for Rope while they create a great atmosphere for this signature Melbourne event.

How many people can say they slept at the G? You can be one of the few.
