Sonic explorers, label heads, pillars of the Melbourne underground, Sleep D explore the rave unconscious - driving rhythms, hypnotic bass, worlds of echo and the hazy bliss of the morning after.
Childhood friends with Iraqi and Maltese lineage, the duo and their coveted Butter Sessions label have ushered in a new era, sensibility and productivity to the city that raised them. A defiantly DIY two-man assembly line, Maryos Syawish and Corey Kikos have issued a steady stream of diverse records, alongside long standing DJ residencies and an ever evolving live show.
Rebel Force takes a step in a different direction with the duo releasing the record on NYC label Incienso. Across ten tracks, Sleep D encapsulate their singular take on bush doof, mutated house, acid scraps and ambient. Check out the first track released 'Central'.
