In mid-2021, Melbourne’s uncompromising post-punk trio Plaster of Paris released their debut album Lost Familiar, an 11-track journey of groovy disco-punk with killer riffs and powerful vocals. Raw, edgy, and ferociously funny, the album was originally set for launch at The Old Bar in July 2021 but had to be rescheduled 3 times before it was finally launched in November of that year.
At the launch, the trio of Sarah Blaby, Zec Zechner, and Nicola Bell was joined on stage by guests Maddy Mac on sax and Amy Chapman on bass. The band remember the night as 'a wild ride of frivolity with the band members and audience finally all in one room together!’
The launch was fortunately recorded, mixed and mastered by Lara Soulio so we decided to bring it to you as our next Studio 5 Live presentation on Thursday March 24 on Crispi’s Radio City. Tune in from 1pm on that date to hear the whole thing and more.
