As you know PBS is community radio station devoted to playing specialist and under-represented music, so if it’s your dream to be a PBS announcer consider undertaking the course. Topics covered include:
1. PBS
2. Introduction to Radio/Writing for Radio
3. Radio Voice/Presentation
4. Interviewing/Broadcast Law
5. Planning a Program/Technical Skills
6. Programming on PBS/Using the studio
7. Prepare you for making a demo
Please note that computers are used in the studio. Given that time is limited, we are unable to provide an introduction on how to use a computer, but we’ll definitely be able to show you how to use the software in studio.

Wednesdays in March 2, 9, 16, 23, 30 of March with Campbell
Tuesdays in April 5, 12, 19, 26 of April & 3rd of May with Beth
Wednesdays in June 1, 8, 15, 22, 29 of June with Campbell
Mondays in July 4, 11, 18, 25 of July & 1st of August with Maddy Mac
Wednesdays in August 3, 10, 17, 24, 31st of August with Cam
Mondays in September 5, 12, 19, 26 & 3rd of October with Maddy Mac
Wednesdays in October 5, 12, 19, 26 & 2nd of November with Beth
Mondays in November 7, 14, 21, 28 & 5th of December with Jen Crowley

HCC/ PCC concessions
Concession $220 Concession fee for the PBS member $200
Now that you know all that - if you’re keen in doing the PBS announcer course do the following:
1. Download the announcer course application form
2. Complete it [specify the month] and send it to hr@pbsfm.org.au
3. Once payment has been processed you’ll be confirmed in the class
4. Turn up to classes and learn a lot!
