Last summer, PBS called on music lovers and listeners of the station to Make A Sound Investment, which would help PBS make much needed upgrades to our modest facilities. This included studio air-conditioning (a first for PBS), mixing and recording gear for our live performance studio, as well as additional broadcast studios, which would mean better radio, better listening and more support for our music community of local & international musicians.

Since then, we have begun the process to make all of these things happen – our air-conditioning is already installed and a new mixing desk is sitting comfortably in Studio 5! We have recently been building a new music library too, which is almost finished and once it is we’ll be moving thousands of recordings into it. All these changes will all make way for a third and fourth broadcast studio to go in place later this year.

PBS would like to thank all who donated to the Make a Sound Investment campaign for their contribution and ongoing support. This means better broadcasting, better listening, and more support for our music community.
