Fresh from carving up the summer festival circuit (Big Day Out, Woodford, Sunset Sounds, Peats Ridge), Brisbane based Laneous & The Family Yah have just announced the release of their brand new ‘Scissors’ EP and its accompanying east coast tour dates.

Laneous and the Family Yah had an incredible 2010 including highlights such as their single ‘It Only Takes’ being added to full rotation on triple j, the album ‘Found Things’ was marked as a feature album on 3RRR, 3PBS, 4ZZZ and 2SER and was also the most played album on 4ZZZ two weeks running and Brag Magazine’s ‘Indie Album Of the Week’.

In 2011 they're hitting the road in support of their new material and as usual, their stage show will feature a mish-mash of strings, samplers, pounding drums, rolling bass and playful lyrics.
Diving from Soul + Neo Soul into avant-garde and oriental ballad, ‘Scissors’ explores ‘Found Things’ more melodic and soulful moments. Joining Laneous and the Family Yah on all dates will be Thundamentals MC Tuka.

Don't miss this incredible pairing of world-class local talent across the east coast.

Friday, 25th March at The Evelyn Hotel, Fitzroy.
