20 years ago The Killjoys won the ARIA Best Independent Release award for their debut album, Ruby. This album launched the band on a distinguished career of recording, releasing and touring records around the globe. Throughout that time the band have been favourites of the indie pop scene garnering glowing reviews for their shows and their lush recordings.

Ruby, has been unavailable since the demise of distributors MDS 13 years ago and the band are celebrating the anniversary by remastering Ruby and packaging it together with their new studio album, Pearl. The new songs on, Pearl‚ evoke the emotions & soundscapes of ‚Ruby‚ and are embellished by past Killjoys members including Penny Hewson, Caroline Schwerkolt, Michael Hohnen and Jeremy Smith.

The Killjoys will launch Pearl, at the prestigious Thornbury Theatre on Friday October 21 with supports from the legendary Ron S.Peno and The Superstitions and exciting new band, Livingstone Daisies (featuring Van & Cal Walker, Liz Stringer & Michael Barlcay).
