Sun 18 Sep 2011

The very best of Northcote will be showcased at the inaugural HIGH NOON Street Festival on Sunday 18 September 2011 from 10am to 6pm.

The length of High Street between the Town Hall and Separation Street will become a hive of activity as the strip closes to make way for a rich program that includes all the things you know and love about Northcote, as well as many you are yet to discover! The HIGH NOON Street Festival is a daytime event, so grab a friend and come for High Breakfast and stick around to enjoy a wide range of Street Activities and Live Music from our outdoor stages.

At midday, two rival local bands – The Blue Brigade and The Red Brigade – do battle with brass. A musical and visual spectacle, this scintillating ‘Showdown’ will set the streets ablaze with reds and blues and rousing tunes. For this, just one of the highlights of HIGH NOON 2011, be sure to dress in your favourite red or blue gear as audience participation is not only encouraged but inevitable!

HIGH NOON fuses Northcote’s eclectic mix of art, music, fashion and food into eight hours of street festival goodness. This spectacular celebration of our diverse and consistently creative community is not to be missed. All this before sundown... best get there early!
