Grace Cummings and her band return to Melbourne following a triumphant debut international tour.

After crossing continents – recording a live set for NPR's prestigious World Cafe series in the US, joining Viagra Boys on their sold-out UK tour, playing to enraptured crowds at The Great Escape Festival in Brighton, and then returning to the US for a North American tour supporting Ezra Furman – this exceptional singer-songwriter brings her visceral and devastating performance back to Melbourne when she plays a last-minute show at the Brunswick Ballroom on July 27.

The band recently recorded an intimate session at Fight Night Records in Abbotsford, with whom we are excited to team up to share this special live set with you on PBS. The Abbotsford recording studio is run by twin brothers Harley and Delaney Stewart and is armed with an arsenal of vintage equipment. They've been receiving support from our mates at Mountain Goat in order to release live sessions by some of the hottest new outfits on the Australian circuit.

Ahead of Grace Cummings’ show at Brunswick Ballroom, and before she and her band jet off once again to tour Europe with King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard, Jordan Oakley will play Grace Cummings Live At Fight Night Records on his show Underground Love on July 26 as part of our next Studio 5 presentation.

Tune in from 3pm on July 26 and make sure you don’t miss this special session.

PBS Studio 5 Live and Live At Fight Night Records are proudly presented by Mountain Goat.
