Black Joe Lewis is back! After wowing Australian audiences in 2011 with a rocking and explosive live show, there has been much anticipation in his next album. Whilst Electric Slave is certainly more rockin’ than his previous 2 albums, it is more akin to his live shows. Opening tune and first single, Skullduggin’, shows its intentions straight away with massive fuzz guitar and the album doesn't really let up from there.
It’s basically got Friday Night Party written all over it. Tunes like Young Girls, Guilty, Come To My Party and Vampire are all highlights. It’ll be interesting to see where he goes from here but at least we can enjoy Electric Slave right now!
