Back with her fifth solo album, and first sine 2008, Alice Russell has released 'To Dust' on Tru Thought records. Hooking up with old friend, and long time collaborator TM Juke, together they have come up with a gritty neo-soul sound that covers every corner of the soul lexicon.
The first single 'Heartbreaker' highlights the crisp production that marries a subtle electronic flavour with a vintage soul sound. Also check the video which features Harry Shearer of Simpsons and Spinal Tap fame!
The album goes from the punchy, call to arms of 'Hard and Strong' to the epic intensity of the title track. Alice shows why she can lay claim to being one of the finest soul voices of modern times. Alice's versatility and raw emotion is on display on this fine album.
