PBS listeners, if you’re interested in getting in on the action during live music week then all you have to do is let us know! You and a friend can come down to any (or all!) of the sessions during the week to see your favourite bands playing in the studios, but RSVPs are essential!

New War are a great local post-punk hope and Ghostwalking is their latest cracking 12” single. This brutal quartet show repetition and restraint, setting deconstructed drumming, plodding bass, and dub-like keyboards against a terse male singer. Joining New War is the always entertaining Spencer P Jones who has been a guitarist for countless seminal Australian bands since the 90’s. Spencer will always have street cred and he is always great solo. Rounding out this Wednesday evening are Melbourne duo fabulous Diamonds playing their brand of spacious, sensual art rock, full of vintage electronics, detached vocals and pounding, tom-heavy drums.

Send us an email at events@pbsfm.org.au with the subject line: NIGHT (Monday, Tuesday) plus YOUR NAME and we’ll put your name on the door with a plus one.

It's live, it’s local, and it’s coming out of your radio. PBS’ Drive Live is taking over the airwaves for a full week from Monday February 6th to Friday the 10th during drivetime, 5-7pm.
