Tue 7 Feb 2012

Joining us on Tuesday is Lost Animal, the solo project of Jarrod Quarrell, previously singer and songwriter in St Helens. Released late last year, Ex Tropical is his weird and wonderful debut album mixing island dub reggae sounds with urban swagger - who knows what he is going to do in the studio! Extreme Wheeze, based around generally acoustic pop songs, often perform with various members Aleks and the Ramps. Musically, Extreme Wheeze coughs up a kind of slacker pop, with a certain drawl happening vocally. Pop Singles are a great little three piece from Melbourne who play warm and whimsical guitar pop. Pop Singles bring a wistful undertow to everything they do – no matter how pretty or rollicking.

PBS listeners, if you’re interested in getting in on the action during live music week then all you have to do is let us know! You and a friend can come down to any (or all!) of the sessions during the week to see your favourite bands playing in the studios, but RSVPs are essential!

Send us an email at events@pbsfm.org.au with the subject line: NIGHT (Monday, Tuesday) plus YOUR NAME and we’ll put your name on the door with a plus one.

It's live, it’s local, and it’s coming out of your radio. PBS’ Drive Live is taking over the airwaves for a full week from Monday February 6th to Friday the 10th during drivetime, 5-7pm.
